MANGO STICKY RICE
Mango sticky rice is Thailand’s most loved dessert. Ours comes with ripe mango, roasted peanuts, salted coconut cream, and a scoop of ice cream, and the sticky rice itself is the famous part: we tint it a natural blue with butterfly pea flower, with no artificial coloring, the way it is done for special occasions in Thailand.
The magic is the contrast. The rice is cooked in sweetened coconut milk with a pinch of salt, so every spoonful lands somewhere between sweet and salty, warm and cold. We serve it year-round, so there is no waiting for mango season.
One plate is generous enough for two spoons after a full dinner, or a perfectly respectable reason to stop by on its own. If mango sticky rice is what brought you here, you will not be the first.
It is especially good after something spicy, since the coconut settles whatever the curry started. Available for dine-in and takeout, and it travels better than you would expect.
